RAKBANK Offers More Savings with Credit Cards

Summer vacationers and regular business travelers in the UAE will be pleased to know that a local bank is adding more benefit to using credit cards during travel through new and better reward features.

RAKBANK has announced that it is offering higher customer savings on Credit Cards, with 5% of international spend on the Cards reimbursed to users.

The new ‘cashback’ feature comes with the bank’s range of MasterCard and Visa Credit Cards, including the popular MasterCard Titanium Card, and applies to all retail purchases and cash advances made using the Cards while abroad. In addition, cardholders in the UAE also benefit from 5% savings on Internet purchases made from international e-commerce sites in any foreign currency.

"With customers paying more attention to product features and benefits and looking to maximize savings, this new feature is one way of helping them get some of their money back," said Ian Hodges, Head of Personal Banking at RAKBANK.

"As travelers prepare for their summer vacations abroad where they’re likely to rely on credit cards heavily for increased safety and convenience, we’re introducing an international cashback feature that offers more than any other card in the UAE," he added. "In addition, avid online shoppers also benefit with savings on international purchases."

The international cashback feature comes in addition to the existing rate of up to 3% cashback on purchases made within the UAE. The concept of cashback as a rewards feature on Credit Cards was first introduced by RAKBANK in 2006, and was soon adopted by a number of credit card providers in the country.
