The Wellbeing Council at RAKBANK, led by our dedicated employees, is committed to the mental and social welfare of our team. This council plays a crucial role in creating a supportive atmosphere by implementing initiatives that boost employee engagement and awareness. Our mission is to enhance employee wellbeing through a series of events and campaigns designed to raise awareness. We also launch tools that help employees build healthy habits, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental and social health. Here are some of our many initiatives aimed at raising employee engagement and awareness:

The CSR &amp; ESG Councils have been established to support the effective planning and execution of activities within three key workstreams: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Financial Literacy, and Net Zero. These councils play a crucial role in promoting the Bank's CSR initiatives and overseeing the implementation of the annual CSR and ESG calendar.
This includes a drive for volunteers to lead our response to environmental commitments and measures to reduce the impact of climate change. This initiative offers RAKBANK employees a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact our community and environment.
We have launched numerous initiatives focused on increasing employee participation in volunteering and supporting community development.:
<ul>
<li>Indimaj: In Arabic, &ldquo;indimaj&rdquo; means &ldquo;integration&rdquo;, which describes the core purpose of the programme &ndash; to help children of determination seamlessly integrate into society. INDIMAJ is a work experience programme specifically designed for students of determination and especially those who have ASD.</li>
<li>Share a smile: Providing support to patients in the hospital through the distribution of small presents and cheerful smiles to convey empathy, joy and positivity.</li>
<li>Engaging Activities: Packing school bags and making toys for underprivileged children, creating engagement and motivation for employees to give back to society and spread joy amongst each other and others.</li>
<li>Environment: Tree plantation and clean up activity in the desert which brought together colleagues from across the organisation to support important causes that helps us leave a sustainable positive mark on the natural world around us, while also strengthen relationships amongst colleagues.</li>
<li>Knowledge and awareness: Hoping to inspire our colleagues to engage in our sustainability initiatives and take action, we have hosted an ESG quiz and launched a series of inspiring sessions, which we call Sustainability Talks. These sessions include presentations by external speakers on various ESG and sustainability topics. With these initiatives we hope to increase our employees&rsquo; understanding and awareness, thereby generating strong support and enthusiasm for our ongoing efforts in ESG and sustainability.</li>
<li>Financial Literacy: We have conducted customized financial literacy programs that address a variety of essential topics suitable for diverse audiences. These sessions have been organized for our internal employees, as well as for middle and high school students at educational institutions. Furthermore, we have extended our efforts to a labour camp, providing workers with crucial financial life skills.</li>
</ul>

These initiatives effectively involved our employees, enhanced our volunteering activities, and strengthened our ongoing commitment to being a responsible business that supports both the environment and our community.
