What is Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)?
When you're travelling abroad or shopping on international websites, some merchants may offer to charge your RAKBANK Credit or Debit Cards in your home currency (AED) instead of the local currency (e.g. USD in the US or EUR in Europe).
While it might seem convenient, opting to pay in AED can result in hidden fees and less favourable exchange rates, as the rate is set by the merchant, not by RAKBANK or Mastercard.
How to pay smarter
For better value and to avoid unnecessary charges, always choose to pay in the local currency of the country you're in or the website you're shopping from.
