Upcoming changes on how to manage your RAKBANK Prepaid Card

 

What’s changing?

Some of your Prepaid card services are currently being managed through the Prepaid Cards portal, available by clicking “Manage Prepaid Cards’ under the log in button on our website.

Starting 29th November 2025, this portal will no longer be available for use. However, all your essential services will continue to be accessible through alternative channels until they are fully integrated into our Digital Banking App in 2026.

How can you manage your Prepaid Card?

Here’s a quick guide to your services and where to find them:

Lost or stolen card, or suspected fraud/unauthorised transaction Call us immediately at 600 54 4049
Card activation

SMS ACT <space> Card ID to 2737 from your registered mobile number

Example: ACT AEDP0300000272

Set card PIN (1st setup)

SMS 100 <space> Card ID <space> 4-digit PIN to 2737 from your registered mobile number

Example: 100 AEDP0300000272 5555

Change Prepaid Card PIN

Change card PIN (for Prepaid Cards only)
You can change your Prepaid Card PIN at any RAKBANK ATM. 

Forgot your PIN?
For security reasons, your current PIN cannot be reissued. To set a new PIN, you’ll need to replace your Prepaid Card. Your existing balance will be safely transferred to the new card.

Card replacement information
Fee: AED 26.25 (inclusive of VAT).
Issuance Time: Within 2 working days.
How to Request: Visit any RAKBANK branch with your original valid Emirates ID.

Balance enquiry

SMS BAL <space> Card ID to 2737 from your registered mobile number.

Example: BAL AEDP0300000272.

Transaction enquiry Monthly e-Statement on your registered email (starting from 1 Dec 2025) or call 600 54 4049
Statement request Monthly e-Statement on your registered email (starting from 1 Dec 2025)
Prepaid to Prepaid transfer Call 600 54 4049 or visit any RAKBANK branch with your original and valid Emirates ID
Wallet to Wallet transfer

SMS W2W <space> from currency <space> TO <space> to currency <space> Card ID <space> from currency <space>  amount to 2737 from your registered mobile number.

Example (To shift AED 1000 from AED wallet to USD wallet: W2W AED TO USD AED12345678901 AED 1000

Exchange rate enquiry SMS RATE to 2737 from your registered mobile number number
Card renewal

SMS REN <space> Card ID to 2737 from your registered mobile number

Example: REN AEDP0300000272

Replace card Visit any RAKBANK branch with your original and valid Emirates ID
Close card Call 600 54 4049 or visit any RAKBANK branch with your original and valid Emirates ID

Keep your details up to date

To make sure you receive all your transaction alerts, updates, and e-statements on time, please keep your mobile number and email address updated with us.

  • To update your email:
    Log in to Digital Banking, click on 'Services', scroll down to 'General Requests', and select 'e-Statements'.
  • To update your mobile number:
    Please visit your nearest RAKBANK branch with your original, valid Emirates ID.
