We’re making sure that all your online transactions are as secure as possible with 3D Secure. This feature adds an extra layer of authentication on your Credit or Debit Cards to keep any unwanted use away.
Secure Your Online Payments
When using your Credit and Debit Cards online, make sure the website you’re on enables 3D Secure. This can be identified by the ‘Mastercard SecureCode’ and ‘Verified by Visa’ logos on the merchant website’s checkout page where the card number is entered.
Simple and Straightforward Process
With 3D Secure, all you need to complete online transactions is a six-digit one-time password (OTP), which has a validity of 10 minutes — enough time to complete your payment.
Even if your card details are compromised, no other person can complete the online transaction, as the OTP will be sent only to your contact details registered with the Bank.
Update Your Contact Details
To be able to leverage 3D Secure and receive the OTP, you need to make sure that your contact details, such as your mobile number and email, are up-to-date.
We also recommend you update the contact details of your supplementary cardholder (if any), so that they can receive the OTP to complete online transactions when using the supplementary card.
